Even though life has a tendency of getting busy at times, establishing a health routine that works for you can make such a big difference to your overall well-being. These are some of my go to hacks whenever I am feeling overwhelmed and time poor.
Morning Routine - Set you alarm 15 min earlier and establish a morning routines that will make you feel good from the inside and out. I always feel so much more motivated, organised and excited about the day ahead when I've started my day intentionally.
Meal preparation - Keep your fridge full of healthy produce and prepare meals in advance to grab whenever you are short on time. I think we all know the feeling all too well of coming home to an empty fridge searching through the pantry for anything quick (usually not the healthiest option). I love freezing meals or prepare little protein balls to keep in the fridge for whenever the hunger strikes.
Movement - Squeeze in short pilates classes or other types of movement into your breaks. I think this is the most underrated feel good hack there is. We don't have to spend hours at the gym for exercise to be worth our while. Any minutes matter, and by rolling our our mat on our lunch-break or whenever we're feeling stagnant can help increase energy levels and productivity.
Mindfulness - Take a pause. Schedule in time to meditate, journal or participate in breathing exercises to calm your nervous system and bring yourself back to centre. A few deep breaths before eating a meal or before walking out the door can have such a calming impact on our everyday life.
Weekly Check In - Set aside an hour every week for active rest and recovery. Get a massage, go for a sauna or take a yoga class are a few suggestion that can help you come home to yourself. Your body, mind and soul will thank you for it.
